Hi All, just a reminder of our upcoming events;

Sunday 11 December – NSWPWC Xmas Social Day at the St George Sailing Club, Circuit Course Practice Day

This is just a practice day, the last couple of years have been very successful, Santa came in on his PWC to visit all the kids, so if you are coming with the kids and you would like Santa to give them a present please bring something small, we are also hoping to have some games organised for the kids.

Thursday 26 January 2011 (Australia Day) – NSWPWC Enduro Newcastle Harbour

One event not to miss out on this year is the Newcastle Maritime Festival, we have been invited to attend again, this will be an Enduro Style event with either 4 x 15 min heats or 3 x 20 min heats, (heat details are yet to be confirmed). This will be a massive day for Newcastle, huge crowds line the shores to watch a ton of on water activites, keeps this date free.

If you have any questions please let us know.

Well we had a fantastic day, weather was great, venue was awesome and racing was a heap of fun, 27 riders in total, 4 Pro/Am Open Runabout, 6 Pro/Am Stock Runabout, 6 Naturally Aspirated Runabout & 11 for OEM Stock Runabout.

17 first time riders took to the water for their first ever Enduro, we held 3, 15 Minute heats and I think by the end of the 2nd everybody was dreading the final, everybody got through, though there was definitely a lot riders showing signs of pain, I would think there would have been some very sore bodies through this week.

Special thanks to Grant Wiggins from Lake & Valley, Grant was able to convince his customers to give racing a go, and along with BRP through in some great prizes to give away, and Trophies. Thanks also to Raffertys Resort at Cams Wharf for the use of their facilities, it was a fantastic spot, plenty of room for spectators, great Restaurant and pool right behind us. Also thanks to Salisbury Payne Tinslay Insurance & the Australian Jet Sports Boating Ass, NSWPWC took up the opportunity of the free day licence to any new rider, this helped us keeping the costs down for all the new participants and made a huge difference.

Also a special thanks to our helpers on the day, the ever reliable Lawns, Kristine & Darren always there to look after the days events, also thanks to the gentleman that helped out with the on water marshalling, they were kept busy.

I hope to add some photos shortly just waiting on our official photographer to download them for me.

Our next event is on the 20th November at the St George Sailing Club, this will be a circuit event, and then our final event for this year will be our annual Christmas Social Day which is also a circuit social day.

The NSWPWC Club held their first event for the 2011-2012 Season on the weekend at the St George Sailing Club Sans Souci, weather was still a little cold and a nice southerly was blowing onto the beach, but at least the rain held off.

Thanks to the guys from Canberra way, Dave, Craig & Neil and thanks to the Newy boys, Michael & Mitch, for all making the effort to travel to Sydney, also a thanks to Elliot Birch for travelling down from QLD, getting a little on water time with his race ski before he heads off to World Finals, best of luck Elliot from NSWPWC.

Sydney’s own Aussie Champ, James Masterton, brought out his new race ski for World Finals for some testing, speaking with James on the weekend his ski is packed this week and on its way to the US, best of luck to James and his team.

Results for the weekend can be found with the following link, http://www.nswpwc.org.au/club-results-2/ , remember your results count at every round for the overall placing this season.

Pictures, thanks to Mike (OZPWC/Trick Media) can be found, http://www.nswpwc.org.au/rd-1-club-circuit-series-21-aug-2011/ and also on http://jetboy.com.au/ .

Thanks again to our committee for all their help, Darren & Kristine Lawn, Darren acting as our Race Director and Kristine as our Judge & Scorer, Dean Jefferies as always our onwater marshall, Matthew Doepel assisting the Race Director and opting not to race on the weekend, and providing a BBQ lunch, and also helping with his Quad bike, & Paul Leven was unfortunately not able to attend, busy moving into his home, I am sure Paul will be with us at the next event.

Thanks also to those that helped with the course, special thanks to Craig & Dave for bringing up their tin boat and helping out Dean with setting up the course.

Our next event will be an Enduro on the 18th September at the St George Sailing Club, we hope that you can all attend, we are still planning to include a ski class.

Just a reminder to all, I know it was late notice for entries for last weekend, as from next round all entries will be required to be lodged on time otherwise a late fee will apply, there will be no exceptions.

Thanks and see you all at our next event.

Enduro Events – Pro/Am Runabout Open, Pro/Am Runabout Stock, Pro/Am Open/GP/Lites Ski, Pro/Am Runabout Naturally Aspirated, Pro/Am OEM Stock Runabout, all classes require 6 riders and may be amalgamated within another class at Race Directors discretion.

This Season there will be an overall point score, every event will count to become the NSWPWC Club Champion, and once we have completed the season we aim to hold a presentation dinner.
